Finished my second reading of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit.
Now I am sad.
But now I am ready for the movie.

Always up for a nap (Taken with instagram)
I miss “Buckwheat.”
If I had money— and I don’t— I would give him an entire Loofah stuffed animal collection. “Gotta catch ‘em all!”

will be the most productive summer by far.
Already I have begun to clean and clean out my study area. Pulling everything out of its drawers. Putting all my stuffs back in an organized manner or giving things or throwing things away after thoroughly wiping them down with wet paper towels. Saran-wrapping my crafts drawers because they are open at the top. Pulling out my desk from the wall to wipe it down with Windex. Dusting my computer, wires, everything. Everything neatly put away. Next are my three bookshelves, three shelves each. Piano. Bass, guitars, amplifiers. Floor.
Selling my things on craigslist. We’ll see how that works out. Doubt I’ll get anyone to buy my stuffs because they are so specific (e.g. Behringer Xenyx 802 Analog Mixer - 8 Channel), but it’s worth the shot if I can make any sort of sale.
And all the leisurely reading I have to catch up on! I have about two chapters left of The Hobbit. And then the trilogy. And then all the World War II books in my collection that I have yet to read.
And summer work! 9:30 until 6:00 at the offices of Dr. Tam Ha, MD, and Dr. Kim Ha, DDS. I hope it’s not too bad. I’ve had my share of bad experiences with children, so we’ll see how I’ll do at the pediatrician’s office. I’m not really a receptionist, but rather the assistant’s assistant. So the work will be so much more grueling than sitting at a desk and making appointments. At least I already know how to scrub toilets.
I plan on running again every day after work. I need to find and be inspired by Mikel Jollett’s story about how Fight Club influenced him to get back into shape long before The Airborne Toxic Event. I miss running five to seven miles every other like it was nobody’s business. I may not be fast, but I got endurance.
Then I really need practice my bass like there’s no tomorrow. Because in a few short months, I’ll be 3000 miles away from here— and coincidentally, studying in my teach’s hometown. So I need to learn all I can from my maestro while it’s still possible!
Then I need to start putting together my birthday party! Of course all my family will be invited. But I’m really looking forward to including close family friends and my mentors.
And then there’s my short film titled Happy, You. But first I have to get a MacBook. I’m so adamant about having to use iMovie that I do actually annoy myself. Windows Movie Maker’s not compatible with MP4 (MPEG and WMV only)— and I’m not about to use a low-quality file converter when all this time I’ve been shooting with my Sony NEX-5N.
Finally, I have my last goodbyes to worry about before I leave for college.
